Graphite Sheets

The Champion GS 64T gasket material is engineered with a unique construction that combines a 0.1 mm thick stainless steel carrier made from high-quality 316 (1.4401) grade steel with expanded flexible graphite sheets derived from premium natural flake graphite; this specialized carrier and reinforcement system undergoes a controlled calendering process, advanced chemical treatment, and mechanical joining to compress the graphite sheets, resulting in a gasket material that can withstand exceptional dynamic loading, delivering superior tightness, mechanical strength, and blow-out resistance, even in the most demanding high-temperature, high-pressure applications, while also exhibiting highly anisotropic thermal and electrical conductivity properties.

Elements that make up the envelope gaskets :

  • The majority of industrial fluid sealing applications are well suited for this material. Gas is released from furnaces using micro perforated graphite sheets, which are punctured with tiny holes.
  • It is generally pressed into various sealing gaskets used in automobiles, heat treatment units, and furnaces. It is also utilized for the head and exhaust gaskets of combustion engines.
